ABOUT US
Unlocking Health, Empowering Every Patient
At Key 2 Wellness Direct Primary Care, we believe compassionate, personalized healthcare should be accessible to all—regardless of gender, background, or zip code. Our founder, Emmie Dickerson, APRN, answered the call to serve an underserved community, creating a practice where empathy, advocacy, and empowerment are the keys to wellness.
OUR STORY
Key 2 Wellness Direct Primary Care was inspired by a commitment to meet the needs of an underserved demographic—providing access to compassionate, high-quality primary care for all.
As the practice grew, our founder personally experienced a significant hormonal shift—right into menopause. While supported by a wonderful gynecologist, she realized the complex shifts in her
body required more than standard care. This journey led her to seek comprehensive, root-cause solutions five hours from home, inspiring the addition of woman-centered services and a
renewed dedication to holistic, inclusive care for the Panama City, Florida area and beyond.
While our roots are in serving those who have been overlooked by traditional healthcare, we proudly welcome ANYONE seeking holistic, affirming care. Our doors are open to all who are
looking for a supportive partner on their health journey.

FAQs
1 / Why should I pay for insurance as well as a subscription?
A Direct Primary Care (DPC) subscription and health insurance serve different purposes and complement each other in a comprehensive healthcare plan.
1. Direct Primary Care: This covers your routine healthcare needs. DPC provides you with unlimited access to your primary care provider, often including same-day or next-day appointments, longer visit times, telemedicine services, and sometimes even house calls. This can lead to more personalized, proactive care.
2. Health Insurance: This is designed to cover high-cost, unpredictable events like serious illnesses or accidents that may require specialist care, hospitalization, or high-cost medications. Even if you have a DPC subscription, it won't cover these high-cost events.
In conclusion, a DPC subscription can provide you with excellent primary care, but it is not a substitute for insurance. It's a good idea to maintain some form of high-deductible health insurance policy to protect yourself financially in case of major health issues or emergencies.
